With the conclusion of the NFL season fast approaching, the Pittsburgh Steelers continue to dominate fan voting for the 2021 Pro Bowl.
Pittsburgh continues to lead the NFL in total votes received, while outside linebacker T.J. Watt, safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and long snapper Kameron Canaday all pace their respective positions.
Watt has garnered 232,734 total votes, a significant margin over Green Bay Packers outside linebacker Za’Darius Smith, who has just 147,310.
Watt is currently third in the league with 12 sacks on the season, and leads the league with 19 tackles-for-loss and 39 hits on the quarterback. He also has an interception and seven passes defended.
Fitzpatrick has earned 224,017 total votes to lead all safeties league-wide. The ballhawk paces the Steelers with four interceptions on the year, while also recording 59 combined tackles.
Lastly, Canaday has received the most votes by a long snapper with 129,915.
A surprise to no one, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has earned the most votes of any player with a whopping 342,353.
Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett continues to lead all defensive players league-wide with 244,899.
While an actual Pro Bowl game will not be played as intended in Las Vegas on Jan. 31, the league still plans to honor players for their outstanding play this season.
Any recognition for this year’s Pro Bowlers will most likely take place in a virtual setting, as the league continues to ensure safety during the ongoing pandemic.
