T.J. Watt Named to the 2019 Pro Bowl Team

I guess this can be termed better late than never.

Despite having strong enough statistics to be originally named one, Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt has been named as a Pro Bowl player in order to replace injured Houston Texans linebacker Jadeveon Clowney.

The second year linebacker had 13 sacks, which was tied for second most among all NFL linebackers. Watt was the only NFL player this year to record at least 65 tackles (68), 10 sacks (13) and 5 defensive forced fumbles (6).

Watt will have the opportunity to be on the field with his brother J..J., who was selected as one of the defensive ends on the AFC roster.

T.J. Watt was the Steelers 1st round pick (30th overall) in the 2017 NFL Draft and becomes the third member of that Steelers draft class to be named to this year’s Pro Bowl team joining James Conner and JuJu Smith-Schuster.

The 2019 Pro Bowl will take place on January 27 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
