One additional Tennessee Titans player and one additional staff member tested positive for COVID-19 during the team’s second day of contact trace testing, the NFL announced on Thursday.
The team had three players and five staff members test positive during Monday’s, which resulted in 48 individuals between the teams and staff of the Titans and Minnesota Vikings being placed into the league’s contact trace procedure.
After Tuesday’s testing results were returned, one additional Titans player received a positive test, but no additional individuals were placed on the contact trace list.
Wednesday’s results yielded one more player and one more staff member positive, bringing the Titans’ total to 12 positive tests in a week’s time. One coach tested positive last week.
The additional positive tests prompted the NFL to indefinitely postpone the Titans’ game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, which had been scheduled for Sunday and then pushed back to either Monday or Tuesday.
