The Tennessee Titans are signing former Steelers outside linebacker and special teams contributor Olasunkanmi Adeniyi, he announced on Twitter on Monday. Adeniyi’s deal with Tennessee is for one year, according to report by Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. Financial terms of the contract are not yet known.

After signing with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Toledo in 2018, Adeniyi quickly became a training camp darling. Despite standing out throughout camp, he was never able to find much success during the regular season, and battled injuries in his time with the Steelers.

Adeniyi spent most of 2018 on the injured reserve list with a hamstring injury and then suffered a torn meniscus in 2019.

In 2020, Adeniyi fell on the depth chart. He was first supplanted by rookie Alex Highsmith and then lost playing time to veterans Cassius Marsh and Jayrone Elliott down the stretch of the season after Bud Dupree was injured.

Adeniyi found most of his playing time as a key part of the Steelers punt and kick coverage. The 23-year-old will now look to revitalize his career with the Titans, where he’ll once again fit in behind Dupree on the depth chart.
