Professional athletes are the pinnacle of athletic ability in the world, but that does not mean they are immune from some clumsy mishaps. Just take a look at star Steelers OLB T.J. Watt on Thursday.

In a video he posted to Twitter on Thursday, Watt can be seen cleaning his backyard pool. However, he ends up falling into the pool as his dog looks on. As he is trying to get out of the pool, Watt immediately tosses his phone up onto a chair on the pool deck after that.

He did let everyone know that he is okay. Now, he is laughing it off after the mishap. But he was not the only one that got a laugh out of the situation. Watt’s brother, J.J., stated that he’s watched the video at least 200 times. J.J. even commented under the original Twitter post multiple times to drive home just how hilarious he found it.

“This is the most “TJ” video I’ve ever seen in my entire life (at least this explains why you were late to clean mine today),” J.J. tweeted.

Laughter is a good emotion to have in a situation like this one. Of course, there is the concern for potential injury whenever anything like this happens, especially when the player that falls into the pool is T.J. Watt, arguably the best defensive player in the entire NFL.

Watt is hoping to have a healthier 2023 than his 2022 season which saw his season marred with pectoral, knee, and rib injuries. He missed seven games with the left pectoral injury that he suffered in Week 1 in Cincinnati. Then, he also had minor knee surgery while he was out. A rib injury limited him after his return to action. Watt racked up 5.5 sacks last season alongside Alex Highsmith when he did play outside of that injury time frame.
