Tomlin: ‘Nothing of Significance’ with Minicamp Absences, Limitations

PITTSBURGH — After nearly full attendance for the first of three minicamp sessions on Tuesday, the Steelers had a couple more players not take part in practice on Wednesday.

Wide-receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster was not in uniform for individual drills, while tight end Eric Ebron was not on the practice field on Wednesday. Several other players were only limited participants.

Head coach Mike Tomlin said that the team had no significant injuries and that all absences were excused by him.

“There’s nothing of any significance to report regarding the presence or the non-presence of anyone,” Tomlin said. “Anybody that you didn’t see was excused by me”

Defensive lineman Stephon Tuitt has not been in attendance while his family mourns the death of his brother. Guard David DeCastro has also not participated through two days of work at Heinz Field.
