TV Map: Most of Country Will Get Steelers-Falcons Broadcast
Steelers TV Map: Most of the country will get Sunday's FOX broadcast of the Pittsburgh Steelers at the Atlanta Falcons.
Sunday’s season opener for the Pittsburgh Steelers at the Atlanta Falcons will be available for large stretches of the country as part of the regional 1 p.m. broadcast on FOX.
According to coverage maps posted by 506 Sports on Wednesday, the Steelers and Falcons game will air across almost the entire Western half of the country and large areas of the south, mideast and New England regions.
Steelers fans in nearly all of Pennsylvania and Ohio, all of West Virginia and Maryland and parts of New York, New Jersey and Virginia will get the game. Also broadcasting the Steelers at the Falcons are stations in the Boston, Jacksonville and Tampa Bay markets on the East Coast, and every NFL market from Kansas City to the West Coast.
Ten of the 30 NFL media markets won’t get the game, with New York, Miami, Minnesota, Chicago, Detroit, Green Bay, Indianapolis, Nashville, Charlotte and New Orleans showing other contests.
FOX has a doubleheader this weekend, with the Dallas Cowboys at the Cleveland Browns following at 4:25 p.m. in Pittsburgh and in most of the country. In Pittsburgh, CBS will also air a 4:25 p.m. game, with the Los Angeles Chargers hosting the Las Vegas Raiders.
There are four national broadcasts for the opening week of the season.
The Baltimore Ravens and Super Bowl-champion Kansas City Chiefs will kick off the season at 8:20 p.m. on Thursday night on NBC and WPXI-TV.
Friday night on Peacock, Green Bay and Philadelphia will play in São Paulo, Brazil at 8:15 p.m.
Sunday Night Football on NBC will feature the Los Angeles Rams at the Detroit Lions with an 8:20 p.m. kickoff.
The first week of the season will close with the New York Jets at the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football. That will be broadcast on ABC, ESPN and ESPN2.
