The Pittsburgh Steelers have played some ugly football games in the 2023 season, and the Las Vegas betting odds are predicting the ugliest one yet this Thursday night against the New England Patriots.

The Steelers, who have seen their games go under the betting total 10 times in 12 games, have scored more than 24 points just one this season. They had the lowest over/under total of the season against Cleveland in Week 11 at 32.5, and went under it comfortably, losing 13-10 to the Browns.

This week, the oddsmakers are going even lower. The over/under total for Thursday night’s game is down to 31.5. The Steelers are six-point favorites, meaning that the book-makers are expecting a game with a score something like a 19-13 Pittsburgh victory.

The lowest over/under total in NFL history was 28 points. The last time a game had an over/under as low as 31.5 was in 2008, for a game between the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals. Cincinnati won that game, 14-0, comfortably going under.

Pittsburgh is a -270 money line favorite. The Steelers are 3-2 against the spread as favorites this year, failing to cover and losing outright to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday as six-point favorites. They also lost outright as a favorite in Week 4 at the Houston Texans.
