After months of discussing the potential options, we finally have an answer as to who will be under center for the Pittsburgh Steelers next season. The team signed Russell Wilson late on Sunday night, just hours prior the start of free agency. After being released from the Denver Broncos, the nine-time Pro Bowl winds up in the Steel City. As Wilson tries to revitalize his career, the Steelers will have the advantage of building a strong team around him given his extremely low salary cap hit.

SN analyst Derrick Bell breaks down Wilson’s game: his strengths, weaknesses and how the Steelers will need to build their offense around him as a passer, considering how things ended in his previous stop. Even at this stage of his career, he still has some tangible traits that are worth getting excited about. With that being said, there are also clear weaknesses in his game that will need to be worked around. All in all, Pittsburgh is getting a short-term upgrade at the games most important position.
