CHARLOTTE — Jaylen Warren has scored his first career touchdown against the Carolina Panthers. The standout undrafted free-agent running back pounded the ball in from two yards out to give the Steelers a 14-7 lead in Charlotte. Up to this point Warren had put up over 300 total yards of offense as the team’s second back without scoring.

On the play, Warren knifed through the defense and was met by two players before he got into the endzone for the touchdown.

From Snow College to Utah State to Oklahoma State, Warren’s college journey took a trip all over the place. It was not easy for him, but he achieved his NFL dream by getting into the endzone for a touchdown, and making the team. Jaylen Warren, along with Najee Harris, having put up 74 yards on 16 rushes and two touchdowns already in the first half.

After the play, a fight ensued between Mason Cole and another Panthers defender. With the Steelers imposing their will on the ground, the game already has been chippy. The physicality that both Warren and Harris bring to the table will not help that chippiness go away anytime soon for the Panthers. Pittsburgh currently leads 14-7 over the Panthers midway through the second quarter.
