Watch: Kenny Pickett Arrives (Back) in Pittsburgh

Kenny Pickett Arrives Pittsburgh

The arrival of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ first-round draft pick to the city the morning after the draft is usually a celebrated occasion. The Steelers pick the player up at the airport, take them through the Fort Pitt Tunnel to get their first look at their new home and maybe stop at Mt. Washington or a Primanti Brothers on their way to the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on the South Side.

This year, the tour won’t be necessary. Pitt quarterback Kenny Pickett, the team’s first-round selection at No. 20 on Thursday night, is a New Jersey native but has spent the last five years playing right next door to the Steelers at Pitt.

Pickett was at home in New Jersey with his family for the draft’s first round on Thursday night, and he made his return to the Steel City on Friday. Hopefully, he remembers where he parked his car.
