PITTSBURGH — Not all quarterbacks block, but apparently, Kenny Pickett can and is willing to do so. On Najee Harris’ 36-yard run, the longest run of the season for the Steelers, Pickett decided to get involved in the muck at all costs.
For all the good that happened on this play, check out Kenny Pickett getting out in front of the run and trying to block downfield. You won't see that from every QB. pic.twitter.com/7j023q4HZz

It is just one of those plays that showcase the type of fiery leader that Pickett is to the team. While he has struggled at times with his accuracy, Pickett has always been a guy that the team can rally around as a leader. That is becoming extremely clear from the team.
The Steelers coaching staff will not always love seeing their quarterback put himself in harm’s way. But it will get his teammates rightfully hyped up. After Pickett’s call to action following their loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, seeing him bring the fire to the field is a way for his teammates to reciprocate the energy.
