CHARLOTTE — Najee Harris sonned defenders on his way to the endzone to score the first touchdown of the game for the Steelers. On the first drive alone, Harris racked up 34 yards on six carries and a touchdown through his physical running and good vision. On top of that, the offensive line opened up holes that allowed Harris to show off his skills in space.

On the play, Najee Harris cut outside and avoided one tackle. Then, to get into the endzone, Harris stiff-armed around defender, pulling out the patented move to finish the highlight reel play. Coming into the game, the Panthers had a shaky run defense, averaging nearly 130 yards per game given up.
Harris continues a strong streak of games in the second half of the season following the bye week. He had dealt with a lisfranc injury and then an oblique injury popped up against the Indianapolis Colts, too. However, his efficiency has been much better up to this point in the season.
If Pittsburgh is to make a run at most of the games on the rest of their schedule, plays like the one Harris made against the Panthers will need to show up even more often. Pittsburgh leads the Panthers 7-0 currently.
