Pittsburgh Steelers first-round draft pick Troy Fautanu touched down in the Steel City on Friday, just hours after being selected with the No. 20 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Fautanu was greeted by a crowd — and cameras — taking pictures with fans outside of the gate of his flight in from Las Vegas. He also saw the Franco Harris Immaculate Reception statute at Pittsburgh International Airport.
Fautanu will get the traditional welcome to the city, with a limousine ride through the Fort Pitt Tunnel and to UMPC Rooney Sports Complex on the South Side, where he will hold his introductory press conference at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Fautanu also ran into his teammate, Cam Heyward, while at the airport. Heyward flew in from Detroit after announcing the Steelers’ first-round selection, who ended up being Fautnau.
