NFL free agency kicks off on Monday and the Pittsburgh Steelers have been busy clearing cap space in preparation for additional moves. In recent days, the team has released Patrick Peterson and Levi Wallace is an unrestricted free agent that is unlikely to return. That’s quite a few snaps that the Steelers need to replace along the third line of their defense. When browsing the free agent pool, there’s several guys that should intrigue them.

SN analyst Derrick Bell breaks down his favorite potential cornerbacks fits for Pittsburgh. Aside from Joey Porter’s outstanding rookie campaign, this was a group that largely underwhelmed last season. With a need to get both younger and faster, it’s highly likely that the organization brings in at least one veteran option early on in the process. The NFL draft corner class is loaded with options but adding an experienced veteran would allow them to avoid reaching on a specific position.
