Today, it’s how players like Cole Holcomb and Roman Wilson have been getting paid while they haven’t been playing all season, and whether the Steelers will bring Holcomb back for the 2025 season.
Some NFL players have splits in their contracts, and Holcomb has one of them, thanks to a renegotiation between him and the club this offseason. Others get paid the full amount. No one gets paid the full amount in the postseason, as the league pays players a round-by-round stipend that is far less than most of them usually earn.
Holcomb is owed $6 million in 2025. Should the Steelers bring him back, work out a different deal, and what about free agent to-be Elandon Roberts?
