Former Steelers running back Jerome “The Bus” Bettis turns 49 on Tuesday.
The big back from Detroit came to the Steelers in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams and quickly endeared himself to the Pittsburgh faithful with his powerful and productive running style. Bettis spent the final 10 seasons of his NFL career with Pittsburgh and went out in style with a win in his hometown in Super Bowl XL.

In 2015, The Bus stopped for the last time, with immortality in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.
