Who’s to Blame for Lopsided Loss? | Steelers Morning Rush

Steelers

Welcome to Steelers Morning Rush, our new daily short-form podcast with Alan Saunders, giving a longer perspective on a single news topic surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers or the National Football League.

Today, it’s the lopsided-looking 34-17 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday, and who is to blame for the Steelers’ two-game skid.

The team lost the turnover battle in the game, with the defense and special teams forcing three fumbles but not recovering any of them, while Russell Wilson had two crucial giveaways.

The Black and Gold entered Saturday’s game last the top turnover margin team in the league. But they lost the turnover margin against the Ravens. They’re 2-13 in their last 15 games when they lose the turnover battle.

Wilson said to put the game on him. That’s not far off, but it’s only half right.

Alan breaks it down.
