Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett wasn’t the only one who wasn’t pleased with how Pittsburgh Steelers fans acted during Sunday’s game, as the wife of Browns right guard Wyatt Teller also ripped the fanbase.

“Cleveland sucks” chants were rained down by the Black and Gold faithful throughout the afternoon. The reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year claimed after the loss that he’ll take note of it for next year.

“We’ll see them again next year. The end result is they have that same energy when we come into their house next year,” Garrett said after the game.

It’s unclear if the chants or something else triggered Teller’s wife to make a statement on X.

“The fans in Pittsburgh today were so blatantly disrespectful to me and the Browns girls. I’ve never felt so attacked by people who I literally did nothing to. Very sad/embarrassing behavior,” Carly Teller wrote on X.

Teller addressed his wife’s social media post on Monday when speaking with the Cleveland media.

“As long as they don’t put their hands on a woman or crazy expose themselves or spit on my wife, you can say whatever you want,” Teller said. “You gotta understand when you’re in a hostile environment like that’s what you’re going to get. This rivalry goes back way too long to be like, ‘Oh, you’re just the wife, it doesn’t matter, I hate you,’ right? I pray that our fans are a little better, but I know the Dog Pound can get a little rowdy. So I’m not naive to the fact that his rivalry goes so far back that you have to understand it’s hostile out there.”

The Steelers-Browns have always been a heated rivalry, but it has gone up a notch in recent years. The Steelers fanbase has had no love for Garrett ever since the Mason Rudolph incident in 2019. His rivalry with T.J. Watt has also added more fuel to the fire over the years. Garrett ignited the animosity when he declared that he was the best defensive player in the NFL following the Browns’ win over the Steelers in Week 12.
