If you’re willing to brave the cold and the elements, there is a bargain to be had for playoff tickets in New York this Sunday where the Buffalo Bills will host the Pittsburgh Steelers during an expected winter storm.
The forecast for Sunday’s 1 p.m. kickoff between the Steelers and Bills at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York is for high winds throughout the weekend leading up to a lake-effect snow storm that could dump two feet of precipitation on the area around the stadium starting on Sunday morning.
But for those willing — or crazy enough — to brave those elements, there is a significant deal to be had. Prices on the ticket market have been dropping since the forecast has come out.
The get-in price for the game was $200 right after the matchup was announced last week. Now that price is under $75, according to ticket marketplace TicketSmarter.
The Steelers and Bills already started out with the cheapest get-in price of any of the six opening-weekend playoff games. The price has dropped even more steeply in Kansas City, where the Chiefs and Miami Dolphins could play in the coldest wind chill in NFL history.
Here are the lowest prices for tickets each of the Super Wild Card Weekend games, including the Steelers and Bills, as of 1 p.m. Friday, per TicketSmarter.
NFL Super Wild Card Weekend Ticket Prices
$50 Miami Dolphins at Kansas City Chiefs
$73 Pittsburgh Steelers at Buffalo Bills
$96 Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
$116 Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys
$120 Cleveland Browns at Houston Texans
$440 Los Angeles Rams at Detroit Lions
Of course, there is the storm to deal with and the potential to get stuck in Buffalo after the storm dumps inches and inches of snow on the area over the weekend. New York governor Kathy Hochul took a playful jab at Steelers fans on Thursday, telling them to stay home.
“We think it’s just better if you stay home and tune in on television,” she said. “It’ll be safer for all of us. It’s going to be a rough game for you anyhow.”
