Do not count on Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger taking his athletic talents to the squared circle after his NFL career ends.

Legendary professional wrestler and current WWE vice pTresident Triple H joined the popular Pardon My Take podcast on Sunday, and discussed his friendship with Roethlisberger. When asked if he believes Roethlisberger could ever step into the ring, he provided a non-answer.

“Ben’s tough. He’s one of those guys that’s played some seasons pretty banged up and just keeps rolling.”

While admittedly not much of a football guy, Triple H did mention that he and Roethlisberger are close friends. Triple H attended Roethlisberger’s wedding, and the quarterback even nominated the wrestler for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

Roethlisberger and the Steelers’ offensive line joined Triple H and his D-Generation X faction in the ring on WWE’s flagship show Monday Night Raw and guest hosted on Oct. 5, 2009. Those experiences were where the two athletes met and fostered a friendship. But Triple H said Roethlisberger doesn’t closely follow wrestling and the pair’s friendship is based more on other things than their current athletic ventures.

Triple H is currently promoting WrestleMania 37, which starts this weekend at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
