PITTSBURGH — Steelers running back Anthony McFarland Jr. is among the team’s inactive players for the second straight week this Sunday against the Detroit Lions, while tackle Zach Banner has been activated for the first time this season.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (COVID-19) and wide receiver Chase Claypool (toe) had already been ruled out.

Cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon, inside linebacker Buddy Johnson and center/guard B.J. Finney are also inactive for the Steelers.

Tight end Eric Ebron is active after missing the last two games with a hamstring injury. Wide receiver Steven Sims is dressed after being activated from the practice squad on Saturday.

Mason Rudolph is expected to start in place of Roethlisberger. Sims, Ray-Ray McCloud and Cody White will all help to replace Claypool.
