Lake-effect snow buried parts of Buffalo this weekend and postponed the Steelers-Bills Wild Card Round game from Sunday at 1 p.m. to Monday at 4:30 p.m. The conditions are so bad that most of the seats at Highmark Stadium are still covered with snow.

This has not stopped Bills Mafia, however, as they’re still out in full force and up to their typical shenanigans.

A video emerged on X of three Bills Mafia members jumping from a mountain of snow through a burning table. Fans cheered them on and chanted “Let’s Go Buffalo!”

Overnight and Monday morning, the Bills asked for help to shovel the snow at the stadium. They paid shovelers $20 an hour and offered free food and breaks in a comfortable warm area. The team asked people to dress warmly and bring their own shovels if possible.

One Bills fan was more than willing to put his hand in the pile and help out the team.

“Going up to the stadium right now to shovel this f****** thing out. Real fans help shovel this thing out,” a Bills fan said on X. Another fan rode by on a snowmobile and chanted “Go Bills!”

To say the least, Bills fans are a unique group.

The weather for the game is expected to include temperatures in the teens and winds from 10 to 20 mph creating wind chills just below zero.

While the playing surface at Highmark Stadium has been fully cleared, the stands are still covered in snow. Many fans may be forced to stand or sit on top of mounds of snow. The Bills have advised that fans attending the game wear waterproof boots and pants.

Three Steelers fans powered through and kicked out snow to clear a pathway. The guy with the No. 26 Rod Woodson jersey led the way.

Bills fans — already notorious for their raucousness — have a history of being menaces with snowballs, so that’s something that needs to be monitored throughout the game, depending on how things go.

In December 2022, a game at Highmark Stadium between the Bills and Miami Dolphins had to be paused because of the Buffalo fans throwing snowballs. An announcement was made over the stadium public address system, which threatened that the Bills would be flagged for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty if the fans didn’t cut it out. It didn’t seem to make much of a difference.

There was far less snow available for the participants to gather for that game than there will be for this one, with several feet of the white stuff still covering many of the seats in the stadium.
