The Cleveland Browns have re-signed former Steelers cornerback Brian Allen to a one-year contract, the team announced on Monday.

Allen, 27, was a fifth-round draft pick of the Steelers in 2017 and spent two seasons with the team, but was waived with an injury settlement just before the 2019 season.

Since then, he’s spent time with the Seattle Seahawks, Buffalo Bills, San Francisco 49ers and Cincinnati Bengals before catching on with the Browns late in the 2020, when Cleveland signed him to the active roster from the Bengals’ practice squad on Jan. 4.

Allen played in 16 games in his two seasons in Pittsburgh and made three tackles. He’s played in just one NFL game since leaving the Steelers, with San Francisco last year.
