🏈 Members of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Super Bowl IX team and more were on hand for Mel Blount’s Youth Home Annual Celebrity Roast, honoring the 50th anniversary of the team’s first Super Bowl.

“I was a little bit sentimental of the fact that there’s so many guys that are not with us anymore,” said Hall of Fame cornerback Mel Blount, referring to those from the 1970s team who have passed away. “So, when you talk about this event being special, this couldn’t be more special because of the accomplishment we made. But it’s more than that. I don’t know how to put it into words because you get kind of emotional.”

🏈 Former Steelers quarterback and Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw was at Mel Blount’s event. Bradshaw co-hosted the dinner with former Steelers running back Merril Hoge.

🏈 Terry Bradshaw debunked KDKA’s report that he saved the day for a group of travelers trapped on a plane at Pittsburgh International Airport on Thursday night. A passenger told KDKA that the door on Bradshaw’s plane was stuck for close to half an hour before the Hall of Famer helped to force it open.

🏈 A new study by Betway has ranked NFL stadiums based on the number of concession stands available per 10,000 fans and per seating section, highlighting the venues that offer the best food and beverage access for game-day crowds. Acrisure Stadium, home of the Steelers, came in at No. 16.

Soldier Field, home of the Chicago Bears, tops the list with an impressive 25 concession stands per 10,000 fans, ensuring attendees have ample food and drink options. State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals, follows closely behind with 23 per 10,000 fans, while Ford Field, where the Detroit Lions play, secures third place with 21.7.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta and SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles round out the top five, emphasizing a strong commitment to the fan experience.

Highmark Stadium (Buffalo Bills) and M&T Bank Stadium (Baltimore Ravens) have the fewest concessions per 10,000 fans, with 6.0 and 7.7, respectively, potentially leading to longer wait times for refreshments.

🏈 George Pickens continues to train with the “Route God” in Florida.

🏈 Steelers defensive tackle Cam Heyward was hanging out with Wiz Khalifa at Pat McAfee’s Big Night AHT event.

🏈 Former NFL offensive lineman Mark Schlereth defended Shedeur Sanders.

“Did Tom Brady have the requisite athletic ability? Did Peyton Manning have the requisite athletic ability? Arm talent doesn’t mean anything to me. Are you accurate? Shedeur is one of the most accurate QBs [in the draft],” Schlereth said on FS1’s The Breakfast Ball.

🏈 Steelers linebacker Cole Holcomb recently put in some offseason work. Holcomb looks healthy after missing all of last season due to a devastating knee injury in 2023.

🏈 Mina Kimes of ESPN would like to see Shedeur Sanders end up with the Steelers.

“They have a really good receiving trio now in DK Metcalf, George Pickens, and their tight end, Pat Freiermuth. I think the offensive line is heading in the right direction, particularly on the interior,” Kimes said on ESPN’s NFL Live. “We’ll see what they get out of their former first-round draft pick, Troy Fautanu, now that he’s healthy. I also think Arthur Smith would like Sanders’ skill set, particularly his willingness to throw accurately over the middle of the field. Last year, both Justin Fields and Russell Wilson aren’t really quarterbacks who target that part of the field. Arthur Smith really prioritizes it.”
