? Happy Birthday to former Steelers linebacker and Hall of Famer Jack Lambert, born on July 8, 1952 in Mantua, Ohio.
Lambert was the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 1974. He was All-Pro eight times in a nine-year span between 1975 and 1983, and played in nine straight Pro Bowls. He was also the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1976.
Lambert won four Super Bowls with the Steelers in the 1970s. During his 11-year career, he had 28 interceptions and 17 fumble recoveries. He had a whopping 11 fumble recoveries in 1976.
Lambert missed only six games because of injuries his first 10 years in the NFL but, in 1984, he suffered a severe toe injury, which forced him to retire after the season.
