The Steelers will travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks in a matchup that will decide placement in both the AFC and NFC playoff standings. Pittsburgh is fighting to keep their hopes alive while the Seahawks want to keep their placement as the 7th seed in the NFC playoff picture.

The Steelers have opened as 3.5-point underdogs at Seattle, according to odds posted late on Sunday by ESPN Bet. The Steelers are +150 on the money line and the over/under total is 41.5.

The Steelers should be comfortable as underdogs. They’ve been the underdog nine times this season, and have covered the spread in five of those nine games. Furthermore, they’ve won all five of those games outright, including last week against the Cincinnati Bengals, when they won big as three-point underdogs.

But most experts are not buying that. NFL.com released its preview for the Steelers-Seahawks game on Sunday. Seven of the 10 analysts picked the Seahawks to win. All analysts have the game being within a touchdown while the Steelers’ largest margin of victory with the analysts is just three points. None of them are buying that Pittsburgh will put up 34 points or anywhere near what they did a week ago, though.

The Seahawks are 3-4 against the spread as favorites but have lost outright just once this season when they enter the game as the betting favorite, way back on Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams.
