The Atlanta Falcons have signed former Steelers offensive lineman John Leglue to a future’s deal, the team announced on Monday. Leglue was last with the Tennessee Titans this training camp when he signed a future contract with the team but was cut by the group following training camp and did not catch onto their practice squad. He spent some time on Atlanta’s practice squad.

Leglue, 27, spent the entire 2022 season on the Steelers’ practice squad and was not activated for any games, as the Steelers remained nearly perfectly healthy across the offensive line throughout the season. A versatile lineman who can play all five positions, Leglue first joined the Steelers on Dec. 29, 2020, and he finished the end of his second pro season on their practice squad.

In 2021, Leglue was called up to the Steelers’ active roster, played in six games, and made five starts at guard after injuries to Kendrick Green and B.J. Finney. A 6-foot-7, 310-pound Tulane alum, Leglue had stops with the Denver Broncos, New Orleans Saints, and Green Bay Packers before joining the Steelers in 2020.

Leglue mostly played at guard during his time with Pittsburgh. He played fine during his short game stints as the team had to go deep down the depth chart after elevating him from the practice squad in 2021.
