First and 10: Hall of Fame Weekend Rolls on after Steelers Win

The Pittsburgh Steelers got the 2021 NFL season started on Thursday night with a 13-6 victory over the Dallas Cowboys in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game, but that’s just the start of the 2021 season and it’s also just the start of the Hall of Fame weekend.

Five players or coaches with Steelers ties will be enshrined this weekend, and Steelers Now reporter Mike Asti and photographer Ed Thompson will be on the scene for all the action.

That continues on Friday, with all Hall of Fame fashion show at noon and the enshrinees receiving their gold jackets in a ceremony at 6:30 p.m.

🏈 1978 Pro Bowl Steelers tackle Marvel Smith was born in Oakland, Calif. Smith went on to attend Arizona State and was drafted by the Steelers in the second round of the 2000 NFL Draft.

He played eight seasons in Pittsburgh, starting 108 games between right and left tackle. Smith was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2004 and won Super Bowl XL and XLIII with the Steelers. He retired after the 2008 season, and is tied for 86th in franchise history with 111 games played.
