First and 10: Will Steelers Pay Big Bucks for Diontae Johnson?

Based on the current NFL wide receiver market, Steelers wideout Diontae Johnson is worth at least $20 million per season, but whether the Steelers will pay that is a different story.

The Steelers have been hesitant to hand out big money to wide receivers in the past, and have also been very good at finding quality receivers in the draft. That doesn’t add up to a team that might shell out $80 or $100 million for a good but not exactly great wide receiver.

I can say pretty confidently that the old Steelers front office wouldn’t have paid Johnson that much money. Will Khan? That remains to be seen and will be extremely illuminating  when it comes to how finding out exactly how different the new Steelers front office will operate.
