‘F— Yo Daddy’: Vontaze Burfict Blasts Joey Porter Jr.

Vontaze Burfict is firing back at Joey Porter Jr. and Joey Porter Sr. On Saturday, Porter Jr. was asked by Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network who he hated the most when growing up as a Steelers fan, and the answer was not generally hard — it was Vontaze Burfict.

However, Burfict saw the clip that was going around the Internet and decided to fire back. In an Instagram story posted last night, Burfict posted an inflammatory response to the comments that Porter Jr. said when he was asked by Jeremiah. Let’s just say that there is no love lost between Burfict and Porter Sr.

“I’m happy your daddy got stories about me, but fuck your daddy,” Burfict said. “And for y’all that still watch this rigged ass NFL, what kind of question was that on national TV?”

Burfict followed that up by telling the NFL that they should keep him out of the game. He simply wants to be peaceful at this point, but feels this question was a setup to get traffic toward the league rather than allowing him to go out of the game in peace. Burfict and Porter Sr. got into a number of interactions on the field, including during the 2015 AFC Wild Card game, where Porter Sr. was on the field and went after Burfict and Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones, inciting them into a penalty that would get the team into field goal range.

Burfict became notorious for his number of dirty hits as a member of the Cincinnati defense, including a personal foul against Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown in the 2015 playoffs that helped cost the Bengals the game. He was also fined in 2018 for hits against Brown and Steelers running back James Conner.

Burfict has not played in the NFL since incurring a 12-game suspension from the league in 2019 after a helmet-to-helmet hit against Indianapolis Colts tight end Jack Doyle.
