Steelers Gameday
Injured G David DeCastro among Steelers Inactives vs. Giants
The Steelers have inactivated injured guard David DeCastro for Monday night’s game against the New York Giants, along with five other players.
DeCastro is joined on the inactive list by veteran third quarterback Josh Dobbs, rookie defensive tackle Carlos Davis, second-year tight end Zach Gentry, second-year inside linebacker Ulysees Gilbert III and rookie running back Anthony McFarland, Jr.
DeCastro did not practice all week with a knee injury suffered during a training camp scrimmage and had been ruled out after not practicing on Friday.
The only other injured player the Steelers had this week was wide receiver Diontae Johnson, who missed Thursday’s practice with a foot injury. He is dressed.
Update, 5:55 p.m: The Giants have inactivated wide receiver Golden Tate, linebackers T.J. Brunson, Cam Brown and Tae Crowder, guard Shane Lemieux, tackle Jackson Barton and defensive end RJ McIntosh.
Tate, who has a hamstring injury, is the Giants’s starter at wide receiver, along with Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton. CJ Barton and Damion Ratley are the other two receivers on the New York roster.
