The Pittsburgh Steelers open as 2.5-point underdogs to the 14-1 Kansas City Chiefs for Wednesday’s game at Acrisure Stadium, according to odds posted on Sunday by DraftKings Sportsbook. The Steelers are +120 on the money line, compared to -142 for the Chiefs. The over/under total for the game is 43 points.

It’s the eighth time this season the Steelers have been listed as the underdog against the odds. In his career, Mike Tomlin is 60-34-3 against the spread as a betting underdog.

The Steelers were 5-0 outright as underdogs before their losses to the Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Ravens in back-to-back weeks. They were betting underdogs against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 1, the New York Jets in Week 7, Washington Commanders in Week 10, Baltimore Ravens in Week 11 and Cincinnati Bengals in Week 13. Overall, the Steelers are 10-5 against the spread this season.

The Chiefs are 6-8-1 against the spread the season and 13-0 as favorites.

Kansas City is coming off a 27-19 home victory against Houston on Saturday afternoon, while the Steelers suffered a lopsided 34-17 defeat to the Ravens in Baltimore.

The Chiefs’ win eliminated the Steelers from contention for the No. 1 seed. To wrap up the top spot, the Chiefs will need the New England Patriots to beat or tie the Buffalo Bills on the road this week.

Kansas City might not have standout defensive tackle Chris Jones for the game against the Steelers, however, after he suffered a left calf injury in the victory.

As of right now, according to NFL.com, the Steelers still own the No. 3 seed in the bracket. Kansas City rests at the top, while the Buffalo Bills trail behind.
