Pittsburgh Painter Cody Sabol Creates Tribute to Tunch Ilkin
Pittsburgh artist Cody Sabol was among the many people touched by the loss of Steelers offensive lineman and broadcaster Tunch Ilkin last week.
Sabol, a nationally recognized speed painter that has created works of many Steelers players, including JuJu Smith-Schuster and Najee Harris, took to the canvas to create a tribute to Ilkin.
“Rest in peace, Tunch. We will miss you,” Sabol captioned his video.
I made this painting today.

Ilkin died at the age of 63 on Saturday after battling amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, better known as ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Ilkin announced his diagnosis last October and retired from his position as color commentator with the Steelers Radio Network in June.
Both Steelers president Art Rooney II and head coach Mike Tomlin have expressed their public sympathies on the loss of Ilkin.
