LAS VEGAS — Patrick Peterson came over to the Steelers and promised he would nab several interceptions. That has come to fruition, as Peterson grabbed an interception against the Raiders. Under pressure, Jimmy Garoppolo panicked off his back foot and threw an interception into Peterson’s waiting arms. The Steelers now have two interceptions on the night, with Levi Wallace grabbing another interception.

As a veteran, Patrick Peterson is someone Pittsburgh relies upon to be a massive boon to the group. So far, it has gone up and down for positive returns, but the interception allowed the Steelers to pull ahead 23-7 against the Raiders after the offense converted that into points. It’s not something that Pittsburgh has done much this season, but that is a positive sign for their team against a group that has not played well on the other side of the ball this year.
Wallace also suffered a right knee injury that will force Joey Porter Jr. into the game. Pittsburgh will look to see the young cornerback show out with limited experience so far. He could draw Davantae Adams on the other side, so that is not an easy task for any cornerback, let alone one with only two true games of NFL experience.
