Steelers Postgame: Mitch Trubisky, Run Defense Doom Steelers in Loss

PITTSBURGH — The Steelers could have pulled out a close win against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, but a bevy of turnovers and fruitless drives into Ravens territory ended up leaving the Steelers too far to win the game. A run defense that could not stop JK Dobbins and the Ravens rushing attack proved Pittsburgh could not hang in for the full game on the defensive line as they tried to claw to victory.

So, where do the Steelers go from here? That is tough to say, especially with Pittsburgh dropping a winnable game where Anthony Brown, the Ravens’ third-string backup quarterback played nearly a half of football with only five passes thrown with three completions for 15 yards. Mitch Trubisky’s three interceptions, all in Ravens territory will be brought up. As will some of the coaching miscues that forced the Steelers to get behind the eight ball.

Either way, Pittsburgh fell short and is now 5-8 on the season. Is there any hope for their season going forward to potentially make a miracle playoff push? Steelers Now’s Nick Farabaugh dives into the game and the season overall to talk about their loss to the Ravens and where Pittsburgh can go from here at Acrisure Stadium.
