Five-time All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins reached an agreement on a one-year, $5 million deal that could get up to $6 million with the Baltimore Ravens, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Hopkins caught 41 passes for 437 yards (10.7 average) and four touchdowns in 10 games last season with the Kansas City Chiefs. He was acquired in October after being dealt by Tennessee.

Hopkins had a banner day in the Chiefs’ 27-20 overtime win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night in Week 9. Hopkins caught eight receptions for 86 yards (10.8 average) and two touchdowns. The Chiefs only gave up a fifth-round conditional pick to Tennessee for Hopkins, which left some Pittsburgh Steelers fans scratching their heads to why Pittsburgh didn’t make a run at him.

The Steelers were tabbed as a possible landing spot for Hopkins in this year’s free agency cycle, but there was no reported interest. The Steelers got their WR1 in DK Metcalf by making a blockbuster trade with the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night.

Hopkins, 32, is the back end of his career, but he’s still a productive receiver. A one-year, $5 million deal that can get up to $6 million is not a bad deal for Baltimore.

Hopkins joins a Ravens receiving corps that includes Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman as the starting receivers and tight ends Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely. Flowers, Bateman and Hopkins is a pretty solid WR trio.

In his 12-year career, Hopkins has caught 984 passes for 12,965 yards (13.2 average) and 83 touchdowns. He’ll now He’ll now get the chance to catch passes from two-time League MVP Lamar Jackson and perhaps make a run at getting a ring after coming up short against the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.
