The Baltimore Ravens and offensive coordinator Greg Roman are parting ways after four seasons, his agent told NFL Network.
Roman revamped Baltimore’s offense in an attempt to make the most out of the dynamic talents of quarterback Lamar Jackson, but the Ravens have fallen short in the postseason.
Jackson’s future in Baltimore is also uncertain, as his contract is set to expire in March if he and the Ravens don’t come to an agreement on an extension. There was speculation that Jackson’s absence down the stretch and in the playoffs was in part because of his contract situation, in addition to his PCL sprain.

In total, Roman spent five seasons in Baltimore, serving as tight ends coach, senior offensive assistant and assistant head coach in his first two seasons before taking over as offensive coordinator.
“After visiting with Coach Harbaugh and after huddling with my family, I have decided that now is the right time to move on from the Ravens so that I can explore new challenges and opportunities,” Roman said in a statement through his agent. “I’ll truly miss Baltimore, but at the same time I am excited to attack my next opportunity with focus and passion.”
The Ravens become one of a number of teams that are seeking an offensive coordinator. They join the New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets, Los Angeles Chargers, Los Angeles Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tennessee Titans and Washington Commanders currently seeking offensive coordinators. Other teams that are first filling head coaching vacancies may also join that list.
Baltimore will be replacing a coordinator for the second straight offseason. Longtime defensive coordinator Wink Martindale left the team last year and ended up with the New York Giants.
