The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to sign former Cleveland Browns edge rusher Jadaveon Clowney, according to a report by Nick Schultz.
The free agent also visited with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but decided to remain in the AFC North. The terms of the contract have not been reported.

Clowney, 30, was considered one of the top free agent edge rushers remaining on the open market despite a down year statistically in 2022.

After recording nine sacks and 19 quarterback hits with the Browns in 2021, Clowney had just two sacks and four quarterback hits in 2022, while complaining that the Browns prioritized Myles Garrett in terms of prime pass-rushing opportunities.

With the Ravens, he will join rush ends Odafe Oweh and David Ojabo and strong-side linebacker Tyus Bowser as prime pass-rushers. Bowser has not practiced at all during training camp and remains on the non-football injury list.

Clowney should be expected to replace some of the contributions of Justin Houston (9.5 sacks) and Jason Pierre-Paul (three sacks) who both left via free agency this offseason.

In five career games against the Steelers, Clowney has two sacks and 16 tackles, four for a loss, and two forced fumbles.

The move is the second free agent addition in two days for the Ravens. They signed cornerback Ronald Darby on Friday, after losing veteran starter Marlon Humphrey to an injury.
