The Steelers have released running back Malik Williams, https://twitter.com/JFowlerESPN/status/1167840858449874945?s=20″>reports
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
Williams hasn’t been able to find a true opportunity yet in his career. He spent last season as a rookie in training camp with the Falcons and only 67 carriers as a senior with Louisville.
While the Steelers crowded running back room made it almost impossible for Williams to make the team, he does posses some skills that could warrant adding him to the practice squad. Williams has an athletic ability more often seen in track and field stars than football players.

He is the tenth player the Steelers have released since the end of the preseason, joining tight end/long snapper Trevor Wood, cornerbacks Marcelis Branch and Jhavonte Dean , defensive linemen Henry Mondeaux and Casey Sayles, outside linebacker Jay Elliott, wide receiver Brandon Reilly and tight end Kevin Radar.
