Steelers Afternoon Drive: George Pickens is an Alien

Published

on

Welcome to the Steelers Afternoon Drive, our new daily podcast featuring all the latest Steelers news.

Aliens are real. At least, that’s the story that’s being told in current congressional hearings on the topic. Which means there is a possibility that aliens are living among us, disguised as regular (or not-so-regular) humans. If there’s a Pittsburgh Steelers player that’s an alien, it’s probably wide receiver George Pickens.

From his off-the-wall personality to his borderline obscene athletic ability, Pickens just does not fit in with nearly any other human being on the planet. On Tuesday, Pickens did his thing again, hauling in a touchdown in a team period and making a meme out of Joey Porter Jr. in a one-on-one drill.

On today’s Steelers Afternoon Drive, Alan Saunders and Zachary Smith broke down Pickens’ alien-like tendencies, as part of a busy first day of padded practice at St. Vincent College. The guys also broke down who stood out in backs on backers, and talked about the injury-depleted secondary that may have lost Cory Trice Jr. long term.
