The Pittsburgh Steelers have now won 700 games as an NFL franchise following Sunday’s 17-10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens.

The win was the 664th regular season victory in franchise history, to go along with 36 playoff wins.

The Steelers are the fourth franchise to 700 wins, following the Green Bay Packers (828), Chicago Bears (804) and New York Giants (741). All three of those teams are older than the Steelers. The Bears were founded in 1920, the Packers in 1921 and the Giants in 1925, before the Steelers came along in 1933.

The Steelers have by far the most wins of any AFC team, as much of the conference was founded as AFL franchises in the 1960s. The Cleveland Browns, who were another NFL team that now plays in the AFC, have the second-most wins in the AFC with 567. The Browns were founded in 1946.

The team has generally chosen to celebrate such milestones only for regular-season victories. The Steelers won their 600th regular season game on Dec. 26, 2016, and their 600th overall game on Oct. 13, 2013.

They need 36 more wins to get to 700 in the regular season. If they continue at their .536 winning percentage, it will take them approximately 67 more games to get to 700 regular season wins, which will happen sometime in the 2027 season.

Of those 700 total wins, the Steelers have gotten 543 since 1969, with just three head coaches at the helm. They had 209 under head coach Chuck Noll, 161 under Bill Cowher and 173 under Mike Tomlin. They were the first NFL franchise to get to 500 regular season wins since the AFL-NFL merger.
