CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — The betting line for the Pittsburgh Steelers Wild Card playoff game against the Buffalo Bills has been extremely consistent, with the home-standing Bills pegged as just about 10-point favorites since right after the line opened last week.

But the over/under total has swung wildly back and forth, depending on the weather expectations for the game.

The total opened at near 43.5 points a week ago, but when the expected whether conditions for Orchard Park, New York began to decrease thanks to the winter storm forecast to hit Buffalo, that total plummeted to as low as 33.5 points by Saturday.

Then came the news that the game was being postponed to Monday afternoon, with the hope that the change will miss most of the worst of the bad weather. It will still be cold, with single-digits wind chills and high winds, but visibility and snow accumulation on the field aren’t expected to be issues for Monday.

As a result, the total has rebounded. ESPN Bet has the Steelers-Bills total at 37.5 points as of late Sunday morning, and others have bounced even higher.
