The Steelers and Cardinals will meet at 1 p.m. in Pittsburgh at Acrisure Stadium. That game will be broadcast on CBS, and as part of their 1 p.m. slate, Kevin Harlan, Trent Green, and Melanie Collins are slated to call the game. KDKA-TV Channel 2 will have the local coverage of the game. This is a different crew covering the Steelers, specifically on CBS, for the first in several weeks. Ian Eagle, Charles Davis, and Evan Washburn had worked most of Pittsburgh’s recent games, including three straight.
After a key divisional win, Mike Tomlin and his team look to take care of business against the undermanned Cardinals. While they returned Kyler Murray, the Cardinals were stomped by the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday in a 37-14 loss. Their 2-10 record shows a team that is not playing at a high level, though they have fought teams hard at times this year, and Murray’s capabilities mean that the offense can be a threat.
The Steelers will be favored for the second week in a row, as their betting line for their Week 13 home game against the Cardinals opened with the Steelers 6.5-point favorites, and it looks like they had better get used to that role.
The Steelers were favored for the second time in three weeks on their Week 11 trip to Cincinnati, and not only won, but covered the 2-point spread with their 16-10 victory on Sunday afternoon. They also covered as favorites in Week 10 against Green Bay.
If nothing drastic changes, the Steelers are in for a run of games as favorites. They follow the Cardinals game with a home date against the New England Patriots, who are currently in last place in the AFC at 2-10, then 6-5 Colts, the Bengals again, at home this time. The Steelers could not be an underdog again until they visit Seattle on New Year’s Eve.
