Steelers cornerback Steven Nelson and kicker Chris Boswell will both miss the team’s Week 13 game against Washington with injuries, the team announced on Monday.

Nelson suffered a knee injury in the Steelers’ Week 12 win over Baltimore that required an MRI, head coach Mike Tomlin revealed late last week. He did not practice all week and was officially listed as doubtful.

Boswell was added to the injury report late in the week with a hip injury. He did not practice on Saturday and was first listed as questionable before being downgraded to doubtful on Sunday.

Slot corner Cam Sutton is expected to move outside and start in place of Nelson. Second-year backup Justin Layne could also step up into a larger role.

Matthew Wright, a second-year pro out of UCF, was activated from the practice squad earlier on Monday and will make his NFL debut in place of Boswell.

Also inactive for the Steelers will be defensive tackle Carlos Davis, quarterback Josh Dobbs, offensive lineman Derwin Gray and tight end Kevin Rader.
