Steelers Daily: Antonio Brown Raps; Bell’s Boxing Start Postponed
Two former Pittsburgh Steelers were in the news last week, as ex-Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown rapped at a Miami music festival and former running back Le’Veon Bell had his first boxing match postponed.
Antonio Brown performed on-stage Friday night at the Rolling Loud Music, a three-day rap music festival headlined by Kanye West, Future and Kendrick Lamar. Brown said he’s focusing on his rap career this offseason while rehabbing the injury that caused his contentious mid-game exit from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last year and has not ruled out a return to football.

Brown’s former Steelers teammate, running back Le’Veon Bell, was scheduled to make his boxing debut on July 30 against fellow former NFL running back Adrian Peterson. But the whole card, put on by celebrity boxing promoter Social Gloves Entertainment, was pushed back after headliner Aneson Gib became unavailable. The promotion announced it’s hoping to reschedule in September. Bell recently announce his semi-retirement from football.
Former Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward, cornerback Rod Woodson and coach Jim Haslett will be head coaches in the 2023 revival of the XFL, the league announced on Sunday. Woodson will lead the new Las Vegas team, Haslett the Seattle Dragons and Ward the new San Antonio team.

Two Steelers defenders landed on the PFF list of the top 10 in the NFL, with outside linebacker T.J. Watt finishing second and defensive tackle Cam Heyward coming in sixth. Only the Steelers and Rams had two players in the top 10.
