Steelers Daily: Busy Cut-Down Day; Preseason TV Ratings Soar
The Steelers got down to 53 platers on Tuesday, while making two trades in the process, the ratings for Sunday’s preseason game are off the charts and the team is rounding into health ahead of the opener.
The Steelers full 53-man roster was released just after 4 p.m. Returners Joe Haeg, Marcus Allen, Justin Layne, Anthony McFarland, Buddy Johnson, Carlos Davis, Henry Mondeaux and John Leglue were among the cuts.
The Steelers traded for Denver Broncos outside linebacker Malik Reed and Minnesota Vikings offensive lineman Jesse Davis.
Injury Updates: Montravius Adams, Joe Haeg and Alex Highsmith all returned to practice on Tuesday.
