December 30 2012: WR Plaxico Burress (80) takes a mment o celebrate his Touchdown catch during the game against the Cleveland Browns at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, PA.

Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Cam Heyward thinks the “sky’s the limit” for Kenny Pickett.

“Going into the second year of our quarterback, the sky’s the limit for him,” Heyward told John Middlekauff of The Volume. “I think Kenny has done a tremendous job to get us to this point, but I know he’s chomping at the bit for more. You know, he’s a hungry quarterback and to surround him with a lot of moving parts, whether it’s another wide receiver in Allen Robinson, more depth on the O-line. And I just think solidifying that group can do wonders for him. If he’s got time back there and he’s able to process a little bit more, I think he’s going to have a lot of success going forward.”

🏈 The Carton Show: Former Steelers wide receiver Plaxico Burress shared a moment when Ben Roethlisberger helped him reach an incentive. “I had a situation where we were playing in Buffalo, it was (Week 17), we were 15-1 in ’04. It was pouring down rain, and I went to Ben and was like, ‘Look dawg, I need 5 catches and I get like $650,000,'” Burress laughed.

“We were only playing two series, the coach had told us that. We would call a run play, and we would get to the line of scrimmage, and Ben would just look at me raises eyebrows and just throw the ball at me. So I caught like five balls for three yards. After I caught the fifth ball, we came to the sideline and Ben was like, ‘You owe me.'”

🏈 Kenny Pickett and his wife Amy spoke with People Magazine about their wedding at the Pleasantdale Chateau in New Jersey on Saturday. “I knew when I first started dating Amy that I wanted to marry her,” Pickett said.

🏈 Pickett shared a video of their wedding on Instagram. “Thank you to everyone who made our day unforgettable! June 24th, 2023 will forever hold a very special place in our hearts. The Picketts,” Pickett wrote in the post.

Legendary former Steelers defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau will be on the All Things Covered podcast with Bryant McFadden and Patrick Peterson. LeBeau was McFadden’s DC during his career in Pittsburgh.

🎥  Steelers wide receiver Hakeem Butler was at former Steelers WR Steven Sims’s youth football camp in Houston. Butler played high school football with Sims at Travis High School in the Houston area. Sims, who’s an ex-Steelers wide receiver, signed with the Houston Texans this offseason. Butler told Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston that he loves playing for Mike Tomlin.

“I love playing for Tomlin. Like I tell everybody he’s as straight as they come. He’s going to tell you how it is, and I love a guy like that in this business,” Butler said.
