One NFL analysts likes what he sees in new Steelers nose tackle Breiden Fehoko when it comes to stopping the run, an interesting day in the XFL for two former Steelers.
🏈 93.7 The Fan: NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger thinks new Steelers nose tackle Breiden Fehoko will strictly be a run stuffer.
“He’s not going to get you sacks and push the pocket,” Baldinger said. “But you play a team that wants to run the ball like Cleveland, you want him in the middle taking up space. There’s a role for him in this league and he’s good at it.”
🏈 NFL.com: Cynthia Frelund has the Steelers selecting Georgia offensive tackle Broderick Jones at 17th overall in her latest analytics-based mock draft.
“My models rank last season’s O-line 26th in the league, and Jones forecasts as an impact left tackle from Day 1,” Frelund wrote. “The former Bulldog’s presence should especially be felt in the pass game, where the Steelers ranked 26th in passing yards per play last season (5.97 yards).”
🏈 To say the least, Snoop Dogg had an eventful Saturday. After being “signed” by the Steelers in the morning, Snoop finished the day by driving Rey Mysterio to the ring in a lowrider at WrestleMania 39.
🏈 Steelers legends Hines Ward and Rod Woodson’s XFL teams played each other on Saturday. Woodson’s Las Vegas Vipers took down Ward’s San Antonio Brahmas, 26-12.
🏈 Ryan Clark paid tribute to the late Sean Taylor on what would have been his 40th birthday. Clark and Taylor were a safety tandem in Washington from 2004-2005.

🏈 The 33rd Team on Twitter asked to name a 2000s wide receiver who would thrive in today’s NFL. The receivers listed were Hines Ward, Steve Smith Sr., Torry Holt, Chad Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Donald Driver, Anquan Boldin and Santana Moss.
🏈 Breiden Fehoko’s mom shared a photo of photo of when he was a kid playing video games with Troy Polamalu and former Steelers fullback Chris Fuamatu-Maʻafala.
🏈 Former Steelers teammates Ike Taylor and Troy Polamalu reunited on Saturday at an autograph signing event.
