🏈 Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick likes the depth at offensive tackle and wide receiver in this year’s draft. That certainly bodes well for the Pittsburgh Steelers as those positions are prominent needs.

“There’s a lot of depth at offensive tackle and wide receiver,” Belichick said on the Pat McAfee Show Thursday. “It will always be interesting to see how things work out and there’s a lot of good young prospects. At this point in time I think teams are starting to really get things pulled together.”

🏈 Former Baltimore Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins is planning to sign with the Los Angeles Chargers on a one-year deal, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Dobbins reunites with his former offensive coordinator Greg Roman in Los Angeles.

🏈 According to ESPN, Bill Belichick has told confidants he would be interested in coaching the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles or New York Giants next season.

🏈 Former Steelers kicker Shaun Suisham and punter Jordan Berry are conducting a kicking clinic in Ireland.

🏈 The Cleveland Browns announced that they’ll have new helmets. The change is minor, but they’re going back to their original white facemasks.

🏈 Potential Steelers first-round pick Texas wide receiver Adonai Mitchell was on NFL Total Access on Wednesday.

🏈 Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr. made a post on his Instagram Story that he’s just getting started. Porter had a breakout year in his rookie campaign and was a finalist for NFL Rookie Defensive Player of the Year.

🏈 Wednesday marked the 25th anniversary of the Steelers selecting outside linebacker Joey Porter Sr. out of Colorado State in the third-round of the 1999 NFL Draft.

🎥 On this day in 1998, the Steelers selected LSU guard Alan Faneca in the first round and Georgia wide receiver Hines Ward in the third round. Both picks ended up being home runs and played key roles in the Steelers winning Super Bowl XL. Faneca threw a key block on Willie Parker’s 75-yard touchdown run in the game and Ward was named Super Bowl MVP. Faneca was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021. Ward is not in the Hall of Fame, but has been a semifinalist in eight consecutive years since becoming eligible.

Other than Joey Porter that draft was a colossal bust.
